Back from Genting!
(Tuesday, June 30, 2009/12:13 AM)

Back from my short weekend getaway trip to Genting with my JC pals! The 6 hour bus ride definitely turned me off, since for that same amount of time spent, I could have flew to Japan instead. But hey, it's cheap, so I can't find any further reasonable excuse to complain!

When there was absolutely nothing to do in the wee hours of the morning (I reached my hotel at about 5 AM, and check-in timing was freakin' 2 PM =.=), all I could do was embarrassing things like this... (>.<) Don't laugh... >:(

Laoda and me

Zhonglie was surprisingly sane throughout the trip (cos' he was rather well-known for doing nonsensical stuff lol)

But what's more surprising, was that the usually poised Yongloong was the opposite of this phenomena... Rofl =P

This dude is Chaoxing and I'm not really close to him. Got acquainted to him since my JC days through my laojiao clique.

Supposedly 'ostracized' by my other 2 friends, but I find him an okay guy besides some personal quirks (which everyone would have anyways)

3 emo dudes on the escalator *Phototaking, courtesy of ZL*

KTV session dampened by 'mishaps' created by ZL (pressing some button that made the screen go blank, and had to change rooms cos' of that =.=)

Wouldn't even think of playing pool in SG =P

Had a kind Malay dude take the only group photo of us at the outdoor theme park's Dinosaurland =)

Taken at Marrybrown, the Malaysian version of KFC. Gawd, I hate that huge pimple near my chin (probably cos' I couldn't bathe for long hours)

Sorry... I don't have many scenic pics, or interesting pics... Cos' usually, guys don't bother about taking photos. Guys just love to have fun! =D If Janet was there, I bet the memory card would be darn loaded... =S

Just a verbal account of fun things I did over there!

#1: First time driving a go-kart, and boy, was it fun! As u guys know, I lack confidence in my driving skills. I was a little conservative in my first attempt, but in my 2nd attempt, I negotiated a tight curve at full speed. The thrill of getting swung around by the huge centrifugal force, but yet able to skillfully maneuver my vehicle around the bend was an awesome feeling! =D

#2: I hate rollercoasters cos' I have a moderate fear of heights, and I was worried my chronic tummyache and headache might screw things up worse. But somehow, I was peer pressured into taking the Corkscrew rollercoaster, and I thought I was gonna faint midway *LOL*! But luckily, the thrill lasted only a couple of seconds and the second half of the ride was rather mild. Whew... =S

#3: Having a cinema experience in Malaysia! Transformers 2, no less. =) Megan Fox... Woots! (Ops =X) There's a weird seating option, which is in the form of an Osim massage chair *ROFL*! We wanted that but it was way in front, so we gave it a pass. Wayyy disorganized and inferior compared to SG, but it was cheap and worth the experience!

#4: In the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, there's a bridge tunnel which has a revolving psychedelic background. Once u're in the tunnel, u'll feel as if the bridge is toppling and u're falling along with it! It's kinda funny observing my friends staggering on the bridge although it's a perfectly normal stable straight bridge, but when I became a victim myself, I felt utterly stupid *LOL*!

There's plenty of other quirky stuff there, such as a haunted mansion and some weird video service, which puts u in a stationary chair and superimpose ur face onto a dancing body in the video. =S If u like living in a dreamy theme park kinda world, Genting is probably the best alternative if u can't afford staying in a Disneyland resort in Japan or America. =P

Overall, the trip was OK. My friends are soccer fanatics and usually teasing each other and/or emo-ing about their BGR problems in NTU, so I couldn't relate to them half of the time. Many of my guy friends are emo-ing about BGR issues right now. I just can't understand why *LOL*! =S I always believe in letting nature takes its course, and letting God guide my path. No point emo-ing about girls who are unattainable anyways! =)

Alrighty, that's the end of my report! I'm back in SG, so feel free to find me for anything! Hey CG peeps, does Genting sound like a great CG retreat? =P I'm kinda obsessed with travelling overseas. Can't wait till next March and I'll get away from SG for a good 4-5 months, where I'll be gone to JAPAN! =)
