New Year Resolutions
(Wednesday, January 7, 2009/12:28 PM)
Sorry guys, I've not been updating my blog recently! Had the luxury of time but was just too lazy. =P I've not even set my New Year resolutions yet! And... I broke my promise of wanting to keep fit and learn Adobe CS3 this holidays. Oh gosh... I'm really a gonecase... =(
Just a quick update on what I've been up to this past week...
My buddy KC introduced Left4Dead to me. I was intrigued by the new concept (actually overdone and popularized by Resident Evil) offered by Valve, the critically-acclaimed developers of Half-Life. But I was gradually losing my passion for gaming, and I was afraid my lousy desktop can't support the Source engine, so I gave it a pass.
I was becoming super bored towards the end of the holidays, having watched all the good J-Doramas, and everyone knows my complaints about Singapore being a superbly boring nation for entertainment. So, I decided to give Left4Dead a try. And surprisingly, my computer can support it! And it even evades the crashing problem which even most high-end computers face!
Definitely a great game! Had a blast with it for a week. Hoping to up the fun by playing LAN with my good pals soon! =)
Look at my cutesy pet in Pet Society! (^_^) Hmmm... Though I still can't believe I succumbed to the UBER peer pressure from my CG W429, instigated by the devious Janet YANG! >:( Hahaha, just joking. Don't take it so seriously, okay? =)
No offence to anyone who's engrossed in this game, but it's seriously the silliest game I've played thus far *LOL*! Unlike conventional virtual pet games, the pet won't die due to hunger. Visitations to other pets' houses won't get rejected.
There's a serious lack of gameplay depth. I guess this game just wants to give that feel-good factor to Facebook addicts. There's no serious penalty if u log on infrequently. It's free of charge. Players need not worry whether their pet would die or get into conflicts with other pets.
I gotta admit the game is cute though. LOL!
Okay, back to serious business, I shall jot down some quick New Year resolutions...
1) Take initiative to improve my health: Proper diet, less junk food. Try to rely less on my medicine. TRYYY my best to exercise at least once or twice a week. =)
2) Consistent studying: It's my habit to zone out for a little while during the middle of semesters. Hopefully, I'll study consistently this time round, and hopefully, improve my grades. I need to get that elusive A grade which has been evading me for the past 1 1/2 years. Grrr!!! >:(
3) Spiritual commitments: Hope to be more engaged in my cell group, especially since I'm gonna have a new cell group. I'm always bound by my hectic university lifestyle and nagging health issues, and that causes me to be reluctant in taking up responsibility. Hope I breakthrough this year!
4) Leisure: Singapore... is killing me... I need to travel to Japan once again this coming June holidays. By hook or by crook. Even if it makes I'd have to travel alone. Haha. =)
That's about it! I'll update once I think up of more resolutions!
