In honour and tribute of Clement's best friend
(Friday, December 12, 2008/10:40 PM)
On Wednesday, an NSF died in a motorbike accident. That guy happened to be Clement's best friend and I was briefly acquainted with him as well. It came as a shock to me when Clement broke the news to me. Someone whom I know in person, despite not being close friends, is no longer living on this earth.
I remembered how kind, patient and obliging he is, as a friend to Clement. Our MTG geek gang would organise geeking sessions, and he'd be dragged along by Clement, although he didn't play the game at all. Yet, he showed genuine interest in our game, never once despising us, and treated everyone warmly.
For the brief 2-3 encounters I had with him, I know for sure that he's a man with a great future, and I appreciate his kind acquaintance. I pray that his family and friends will be lifted of their grief and bravely live on with their lives, and I also pray that his soul gain eternal rest in the Lord.
Today, my mum was just discussing this piece of news with me, and I knew instantly that my mum was referring to him. She mentioned that she witnessed the aftermath of his accident while returning back from work. This is getting... way too coincidental.
This incident enlightened me to embrace every moment I have with my close ones. We never know when would be the last time we'd see each other. I'm not cursing anyone *lol*. Just stating a fact of life, and emphasise the harsh reality of the world. Treasure ur friends and family!
