Crazy driving experience!
(Sunday, December 28, 2008/11:39 PM)

Yesterday, I had to go for my usual church service at Expo. Debbie needed to celebrate her brother's birthday. KC had to accompany her. My brother was away in Malaysia. My parents weren't back from China yet. So, I thought I had to go alone. Oh lonely me. :(

Naturally, with my brother gone to Malaysia, and my parents were away in China, I had full access to the car. But I was just too humji to drive it myself. My lao da, YL, encouraged me to fetch my parents back home from the airport later that evening, and even came all the way from his home to my doorstep, just to guide and support me *lol*!

And so... I plucked up my courage and drove to Expo, then realized on the way that I didn't have a Cashcard on me! -_-" I temporarily stopped by Expo's taxi-stand, while my lao da kindly rushed to 7-11 to purchase a Cashcard for me to park at the adjacent carpark. Thanks man!

I tried ways and means to persuade him to come to my service but he's always too sensitive. Guys cannot be so sensitive la! Haha... Anyhow, I left the parking to him, and I rushed to service cos' I was late due to the little miscalculation. To leave something worth at least $50+k to my laoda, I kinda feel our level of trust has already deepened ah! (^_^) Well, after parking the car, he bidded his time waiting for me by going to the Metro sale and... doing some babe sight-seeing *rofl*.

After service, I met up with him again and begged him to help me drive the car to the airport cos' I was tired from all the clapping and singing in church *lolx*. He kindly obliged and we went to T1, only to realize there were no arrivals from China, and drove the car down to T3 instead haha!

I intended to treat him dinner at Crystal Jade but he insisted to pay half the bill. I felt so guilty making him come all the way to Jurong to coach me in my driving, then asking him to have dinner and wait for my parents to arrive back in Singapore. (>.<)" He's a really nice guy. And he's looking for a GF too. Any girls interested, feel free to let me know LOL! =P

My parents was flabbergasted when they saw me flash the car keys. I quickly explained to them patiently, and thankfully, they were too caught up with the post-excitement of their holiday trip, that they didn't probe further. My mum is very over-protective of me. I thought she would give me a good 15 minutes lecture, not to trust my friends that easily, and let my father 'train' me further before I drive the car on my own. Whew... Lucky me... =)

My brother was dumbfounded too. He came back from Malaysia early with the intentions to fetch my parents from the airport. I think he got a shock when he found the car 'missing'. HAHA! He was skeptical of my driving abilities as well, but assured him that my proster driving friend was my coach for the day.

I doubt I'll do something as crazy as that in the near future. I'm always a very conservative and calculative person. I usually do not take unnecessary risks, venture into the unknown, or attempt new things without a worry. Haha, it sure was fun though! But my heart can only take this much. =) In 2 weeks time, I'll revert back to the mundane, life-less bookworm... Sigh... =(

Oh, and guess what? My father took over the car to return home, and I told him that the Cashcard was my friend's. Dad: "Why use other people's Cashcard? Just use ours la!" *takes out his well-hidden Cashcard from the side compartment*. Grrr... >:(
