Finally, the long awaited wedding day of our beloved cell group leader, Diana, arrived! It was a nice time of gathering amongst us close church friends, whilst soaking in the joyous atmosphere! Diana looked like a princess on her wedding day. :) Here's wishing the anointed couple of Lawrence and Diana an everlasting blissful marriage, and as Pastor Meng said, praying for little Lawrences and Dianas running around soon LOL! =D
As usual, the girls from my CG were furiously cam-whoring, so much so that some of our church guys such as Elson and Joseph were genuinely amazed by this W429 "phenomenon" lol! Get used to it guys! =P I'll upload some pictures (which I look nice in, of cos' LOL) once they've done their job of uploading them first. :)
Jumping a week back, we had our last Youth Em event, where I was told by my buddy KC on the eleventh hour that I was supposed to perform the rap for the contest. -_-" I was a little nervous cos' I didn't had much preparation, but nevertheless, our signature Indian accent won us the 'best rapper' award, so it was all good at the end of it all *lol*! Janet has been our 'manager', advertising the Youtube link to the video on everyone's blog. Sigh, so may as well put it here. =S
KC has always been the enthu one to grab any chance to perform on stage, and I'm always the hesitant, passive one, unsure of how my performances would be received by the audience (Will I be lame? Will I get jeered at? =S). Yet, when on stage, I'd just subconsciously lose myself and get into my daring 'stage persona', whereas my buddy always get the jitters *lol*!
It may not seem obvious in the video, but he was gradually losing his Indian accent towards the end of the clip, and I'm the one who was consistently doing those Indian mannerisms ie. shaking head, acting like a clown etc. *rofl*! And we were to supposed to do a Russell Peters joke too, but my buddy just got a mental block on stage LOL!
The feeling of winning an award, a long year and a half hiatus after last year's Emerge Talentime felt good. $30 Capitaland vouchers which were used to bless our CG with Swensen's desserts later in the evening. =) To some extent, it re-ignites the passion in me to sing and perform, although the rapping contest was just plain slapstick and doesn't require much of our talents lol!
The devil's been putting this feeling of self-inferiority for all my life. I'll promise to conquer this barrier and grab every opportunity to glorify God with my talent when it comes by! =)
This is random but... I FOUND THE BLOG OF MY CRUSH! Yays! :) KC said that was abit stalker-ish. To some extent, it is *lol*. That's what happens when I get infatuated, but don't worry, my logic and reasoning still overrule my emotions. =)
