Does having 5 projects sound fun?
(Friday, August 29, 2008/12:01 AM)

Continuing the theme from my previous post, I think... I've met my eye candy... in one of my tutorials. She is rather shy and reserved like me, looks cute in a "jappy-style" kind of way, jotting down notes faithfully. Gives me the feeling that she's an all-rounded girl who has the looks and style and isn't too bimbotic or mugger-ish.

Just felt that I kinda let go of a wasted opportunity to group with her cos' I was sitting far away from her when we had to form project groups. Oh well, I guess I've gotta pay attention to my current project mate as well, cos' I realized she started reading my blog too! >.< She is also a genuinely nice person, and I guess what matters is that we can click well and get an 'A' grade for our project!

Talking about bimbos, I'm pleasantly surprised that my secondary school belle is also in the same tutorial class. However... That air of arrogance she carries now, the disregard she shows in her body language for her peers and tutors, and the tangible accent... Reeks heavily of an SPG to me.

Her friend as well... She's one of the most beautiful girls I've seen in NUS thus far, but she reeks even worse of an SPG. Both of them were busy styling their hair and making sure their nails are trimmed THROUGHOUT the entire tutorial. And once she starts talking in her uberly fake accent, I couldn't help but cringe.

Perfect epitome of NUS' infamous 'flower vase' stereotype? In case u dunno what that means, it signifies girls whose main purpose is to look and stay pretty, to be the 'belle' of the group, but can't actually do work even if their life depended on it. Oh well, I shan't delve deeper into this topic, or else someone in my social circle will say that I'm such a MEAN person again (u know who u are). =P

Funny thing was that, we were doing an exercise on stereotypes. Whenever the tutor mentions a word, such as 'Japan', we had to write 5 words that instantly comes to our mind. Eventually, we had to write 5 words for Singaporean men and women. Women wrote on men, men wrote on women. A guy wrote 'SPG' for Singaporean women and we had a good laugh. Moving on, some of the common stereotypes of Singaporean men are 'boring', 'square', 'childish' etc.

And the bimbo seconded those thoughts out LOUD, giving us the vibe that she totally despise Singaporean men. There and then, I had the mind to rebutt her by remarking "SO THAT'S why there's SO MANY SPGs in Singapore!", with the intentions of implying SOMETHING to her. Oh well, I'm a nice guy. Just wanna stay low profile for my tutorials. =)

Busy weekend ahead. Usual church service and we'll gonna have a youth event on Sunday! Looking forward to that of cos'! And I'm gonna see that blasted Eric for the first time in 2 1/2 years after our trip to Japan at the end of my NS 1st year. It's gonna be a fruitful weekend! =)
